**UPDATED** Four-car Motor Vehicle Collision

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, and the Village of Cayuga Heights, are currently investigating a four-car motor vehicle collision with injuries.  Southbound traffic on State Route 13 is currently being diverted as the road is closed between Warren and North Triphammer Road in Lansing.  Northbound traffic for State Route 13 is currently open and free-flowing at this time.  Further information will be released when available.

**UPDATE**  State Route 13 in Lansing is now clear and has been reopened.  A preliminary investigation is indicating that a vehicle traveling on State Route 13 northbound was making a merge from the right hand lane into the fast lane when it struck a vehicle.  The merging vehicle then traveled across the median and into the southbound lane where it struck two vehicles head-on.  That operator has suffered serious physical injuries and was transported to Upstate Medical Center via LifeNet Helicopter.  Other minor injuries were also reported at the scene and medical assistance was provided by the airport's Crash, Fire, and Rescue team, the Lansing Fire Department, and Bang's Ambulance.
