Narcotics Arrest

On February 24th, 2019 at 1:03 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Laundromat located at the Triphammer Market Place, 2255 N. Triphammer Road in the Village of Lansing for a suspicious person complaint.  The complainant indicated that a male was inside however found it unusual due to the hours and the male not ever using the laundry equipment.  Deputies located the male, Stefan M. Whittenburg, age 33 of Ithaca N.Y. and found him acting using narcotics.

Whittenburg was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree - Class A Misdemeanor (heroin, adderall). Whittenburg was released on appearance ticket ordering him to return to the Town of Lansing Court on March 19th, 2019 at 5:00 PM.  Deputies were assisted by members of the Cayuga Heights Police Department and the New York State Police.
