Narcotics Arrest

On February 19th, 2018 at 4:44 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a GMC pickup truck on Jacksonville Road in the Town of Ulysses.  Deputies learned that the operator, Kyle G. Clawson, age 40 on Hector, NY had active warrants for his arrest.  Further into the investigation, deputies conducted a searched of the vehicle and located a quantity of methamphetamine.

Aside from the warrant, deputies charged Clawson with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) and Unreistered Motor Vehicle (Violation).  In the absence of the Ulysses Town Court, deputies arraigned Clawson on the warrant and new charges in the Town of Lansing Court.  Clawson was remanded on $50 bail, to the Tompkins County Jail on bail and ordered to appear at the Town of Ulysses Court at a later date.
