**UPDATE** Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

On May 15th, 2019 at approximately 3:39 AM, The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-car motor vehicle crash with reported serious injuries, on Livermore Road, in the Town of Dryden.  Upon arrival, deputies observed a Kia Soul that had been traveling North on Livermore Road, traveled off the East shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree.  Both the driver and passenger were transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.  The passenger, identified as Glennys Alandra Cordero, age 26 of Bronx, NY was pronounced dead at Upstate Medical Center. 

As of 7:30 AM Livermore Road between Livermore Cross and Bahar Drive is shut down for the crash investigation.  New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Team, Tompkins Cortland Community College Campus Police, Dryden Fire Department, Dryden Ambulance and Town of Dryden Highway Department assisted at the scene.

Crash is still under investigation at the time of this press release.  Further information will be given once the investigation is complete.

As of 9:00 AM Livermore Road has been reopened.


The operator of the vehicle in this crash, identified as 21 year-old Annabelle Liz of Brooklyn, NY, was charged earlier this date with NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law violations of 1192.3 (DWI), 1128A (Unsafe Lane Change), 1180A (Speed Not Prudent), and Penal Law section 125.12 (Vehicular Manslaughter).  She was arraigned in Dryden Town Court where she was released on her own recognizance and is set to reappear on May 22nd, 2019 at 03:30 PM.
