Fatal Crash

**UPDATE**

On January 13th, 2017 at about 8:14PM, Deputies from the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1600 Block of Ellis Hollow Road in the Town of Dryden for a fatal motor vehicle crash.  The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling east on Ellis Hollow Road when it drove off the roadway and struck a tree.  The operator was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as BRENT D HANDY (Age 44 of Ithaca).

The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Varna Fire Department, Dryden Ambulance, and Bangs Ambulance for their assistance in this investigation.
