Criminal Possession of Marijuana

On January 18th, 2018 at approximately 11:13 AM, deputies were on a traffic stop on Peruville Road in the area on Benson Road.  While on the traffic stop, deputies observed a pick-up truck passing a semi-truck in a no passing area. The pick-up truck almost caused an accident, due to the semi-truck going around the traffic stop in an unsafe manner.

Deputies instructed the pick-up truck driver, who was identified as Andrew P. Minnick (age 34 of Ithaca) to pull over.  Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the pick-up truck operated by Minnick.  Also, in the passenger's seat was Timothy M. Brewster (age 50 of Ithaca).  Deputies searched the pick-up truck and Brewster was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Forth Degree a Class A Misdeameanor.  Minnick was arrested for Criminal Possession in the Third Degree a Class E Felony. Both are to appear Town of Lansing Court on February 6, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
