Criminal Contempt First Degree

On January 12, 2020 at around 7:45 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies were on patrol on Kirk Road in the Town of Dryden.  While on patrol, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black Saturn sedan on Bills Way for Inoperable Plate Lamps.  During the course of their investigation, deputies determined that the driver, Jason M. DENMARK, age 43 of Freeville, NY had a "full stay away" order of protection against him protecting the passenger of the vehicle.
 
Deputies arrested Denmark and he was charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (Class E Felony).  Denmark was released on an appearance ticket ordering him to appear in the Town of Dryden Court on January 29, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
