Armed robbery

On February 16, 2019 at 9:49 PM the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office, Cayuga Heights Police Department, Ithaca Police Department, and the New York State Police responded to 2300 North Triphammer Road in the Village of Lansing, the Tops gas station, for an Armed Robbery complaint.

Upon arrival, responding units were advised that two black males had entered the establishment, displayed firearms, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspects fled the scene traveling westerly behind the Shops at Ithaca Mall on foot where they continued into a wooded area, subsequently eluding apprehension.  Video surveillance footage was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.
