Narcotics Arrest

On April 24th, 2019 at 11: 51 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 1996 Honda Civic after observing the vehicle with an equipment violation on Sapsucker Woods Road in the Town of Lansing.  During the course of their investigation, deputies learned that the driver, later identified as Thomas M. Maloney, age 52 of Newfield, was operating on a suspended drivers license.  Deputies also conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which resulted the in the discovery of crack cocaine and a crack pipe. 

Maloney was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), False Personation (Class B Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Displaying Forged Inspection Sticker (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Uninspected Motor Vehicle (Traffic Violation), Improper Plates/Switched Plates (Traffic Violation), Operating a Motor Vehicle with out Insurance (Traffic Violation), Inoperable Plate Lamps (Traffic Violation), Unregistered Motor Vehicle (Traffic Violation) and Unsafe Tires (Traffic Violation).  

Maloney was released on appearance tickets ordering him to return to the Town of Lansing Court on May 16th, 2019
