Drug Arrest

On August 18th, 2018 at about 6:15 PM, The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle for crossing over the center lines multiple times on Snyder Hill Road in the Town of Ithaca. Subsequent to an investigation, deputies located narcotics inside the vehicle and on the person of the driver.  The driver admitted to possessing crack, cocaine, methamphetamine, and concentrated cannabis.

The driver was identified as THOMAS A KELLY (Age 36 of Scipio Center).  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (2 counts) and failure to keep right.  The other occupant in the vehicle was identified as TRACY L SMITH (Age 35 of Scipio Center).  She was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (one count).  Both KELLY and SMITH were released on appearance tickets and are set to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court on August 29th, 2018 at 4:00 PM.
