Felony DWI Arrest

On April 3rd, 2018 at about 8:40 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Office received a civilian complaint of an erratic driver traveling south on State Route 13 near Hanshaw Road in the Town of Dryden.  Deputies located the vehicle traveling on State Route 13 near North Triphammer Road a short time later.  The vehicle was observed swerving over hazard markings and driving recklessly.  The driver was found to be intoxicated.  He also held a revoked driver's license. He was later identified as ROBERT A BASILE (Age 52 of Dryden).  

Basile was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (E felony for previous conviction), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree (E Felony), Operating without interlock device, Refusal to take breath test, Driving over hazard markings, and Failure to keep right.  He is set to appear in the Town of Lansing Court on April 10th, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
