An Important Public Safety Message from Our Local Homeless Shelter, St. John’s Community Services

With the temperatures falling, our local homeless Shelter, St, John’s Community Services, is reminding the community that the SJCS Shelter is here for those in need.  (St. John’s Community Services operates the local shelter formerly operated by The Rescue Mission.)

If you are homeless, or know someone in need of shelter support, SJCS provides the following advice on how to access SJCS services:

  •  During normal business hours, please go to the Tompkins County Department of Social Services (DSS), at 320 W. State Street, Ithaca.
  •  After hours or on weekends, you can also stop in directly to the Shelter at 618 W. State Street.
  •  You can also call the Shelter at 607-354-8990.

Stay warm and safe.
