Recycling and Solid Waste Center Fee Changes in 2011

As of January 1, 2011 the following fees will change at the Tompkins County Recycling and Solid Waste Center.

Coupons for larger vehicles, wagons, SUVs and mini vans (Category 2) will increase from $12 to $14. $2 coupons will be available at the Tompkins County Solid Waste Management Division (TCSWMD) office or the TCSWMD scale house to supplement previously purchased $12 coupons.

There will no longer be a fee for residential yard waste if it is delivered to the public drop off area in bags or cans. The cost for larger or commercial loads will be reduced to $40 per ton.
