Health Department Pilots a TCAT Bus Stop

The Tompkins County Health Department (TCHD) now has a bus stop outside its front doors. In partnership with Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT), the Health Department is pleased to offer the public easier access to the services provided at TCHD.

“We thank the TCAT board and Tompkins County legislators for approving the new bus stop at the Health Department. Transportation access to health care and other services is an ongoing challenge for individuals who do not own a car or who choose to use public transportation as their mode of transportation. The new bus stop provides direct access to our building for those with disabilities, caregivers with children, Health Department employees, and many others,” says Frank Kruppa, Public Health Director.

TCHD encourages the public to take the bus when coming to the Health Department. The bus stop is on TCAT Route 32. Click here to see the full schedule:
