The Tompkins County Health Department will be closed Oct. 18, Noon-4:30PM, for staff development. The answering service will receive phone calls.and will notify staff In case of emergency.

Health and Human Services Committee Meets Tuesday, October 9

The Health and Human Services Committee of the Tompkins County Legislature meets Tuesday, October 9, at 3:00 p.m. at Legislature Chambers, located in the Governor Daniel D. Tompkins Building, 121 E. Court Street, Ithaca.  (Note the non-standard date and time due to the Indigenous People’s Day/Columbus Day holiday.)

The committee will hear a presentation from the Ithaca Health Alliance/Ithaca Free Clinic, and will consider a resolution in support of marijuana legalization in New York State which, if recommended by the committee, would be forwarded for consideration by the full Legislature.

An update will also be presented regarding the Office of Human Rights.
