Focus on Senior Care and Housing at Next Health and Human Services Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the Tompkins County Legislature Health and Human Services Committee will focus on Senior Care and Housing Options in Tompkins County.

The Committee will meet Monday, March 12th, beginning at 4:00 p.m., at County Legislature Chambers, located in the Governor Daniel D. Tompkins Building, 121 E. Court Street, Ithaca.

Lisa Holmes, Director of the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, will give a presentation about the different types of care and senior living options available in Tompkins County.

Holmes’ presentation will be followed by brief presentations from four other senior services professionals, who will also address the senior housing issue: Lucia Sacco of Lifelong; Mark Macera of Longview; Sue Ellen Stuart of Visiting Nurse Service of Ithaca and Tompkins County; and Brenda Westfall, of the Ithaca Housing Authority/Titus Towers.
