(May 9, 2019)  Today, Rep. Tom Reed announced $9,999,990 for the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport for terminal expansion and rehabilitation.

“Airports are an important driver for our regional economy and a vital part of our national transportation infrastructure,” Tom said. “This grant will ensure the Ithaca airport will remain safe and efficient while boosting jobs in our community. We will continue to use our position in Washington to advocate for funding for all the communities we represent.”

“This federal grant award completes funding for our airport infrastructure project," Airport Director Mike Hall said. “Special thanks to Congressman Reed for his critical support to obtain these funds!"

"Congressman Reed has been an active supporter and advocate of our critical airport infrastructure renovation,” Tompkins County Legislature Chair Martha Roberson said. “He understands how crucial this project is for Tompkins County’s residents and visitors, and for our entire economy."

“This federal support secures our airport’s ability to grow and thrive in the future, and to continue as a critical tool for our county’s robust business growth and development,” Tompkins County Administrator Jason Molino said. “The expansion of Ithaca Tompkins Airport will preserve and enhance Tompkins County’s role as one of the most diverse and equitable communities in New York State.”
