Alzheimer's: Managing Challenging Behaviors

A free workshop, "Alzheimer's: Managing Challenging Behaviors," will be held Friday, April 16, Noon - 1:30 PM at the Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca.

The session is intended for persons caring for a relative or friend who has Alzheimer's Disease or a related disorder. However, all are welcome.

Michael Massurin, of the CNY Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, will discuss what causes dementia-related behaviors like suspicion, repetition, sundowning, agitation and aggression and how to respond to these behaviors.

Bring your brown bag lunch if you wish. Beverages provided. Please register ahead for the workshop by calling the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, 274-5492.
