The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is now accepting nominations for the 2015 Senior Citizen of the Year Award and Outstanding Contribution by a Senior Citizen Award.
The Senior Citizen of the Year Award is granted to a senior citizen (age 60+) who has tirelessly advocated on behalf of seniors within their communities. He or she has assisted in providing needed support services and activities which have enriched the lives of senior citizens.
The Outstanding Contribution by a Senior Citizen Award is presented to a senior citizen (age 60+) who has made a particularly exceptional contribution to his or her community. Awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting of the Office for the Aging in May, 2015.
Nominations should be in the form of a letter and should include activities, achievements and the reasons that the individual should receive the award. Please include contact information for both the nominator and the nominee in the letter.
