Injury from falling is a major risk for older adults and people with disabilities.  Click HERE to review information on how to prevent falls from the Office for the Aging.

The Department of Recycling and Materials Management will be closed Mon., Feb. 20th, for the Presidents’ Day holiday. The Recycling and Solid Waste Center will be open its regular hours, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with no change in curbside recycling collection.

The Health Department is providing flu vaccinations for adults at its building, 55 Brown Road, across from the Airport.  Call 274-6616 to schedule your appointment.  More information

County Youth Services Releases Two Electronic Resources

Tompkins County Youth Services Department announces the release of its 2014 OJ Guide to Teen Services and Activities.  The updated Guide lists services that are available in Tompkins County for teens, primarily ages 13–19.  The Guide contains activities and services that promote healthy living for teens,  opportunities to help teens know the community and get involved, programs that build skills, and services to get help and support.  To view the Guide, available electronically at the Youth Services web site click HERE.

Tompkins County Youth Services Department also announces the release of its 2014-15 School Listing.  The Listing contains contact information for all Tompkins County schools including superintendents, building principals, social workers and psychologists, PTA leaders and more.  Click HERE to view th School Listing, also posted on the Youth Services web site.
