2040 Long Range Transportation Plan Update

Open house format public meetings, spend as much or as little time as you want:

Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Tompkins County Public Library Borg Warner Room East from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The LRTP provides a twenty-year vision for the metropolitan transportation system and represents the product of an extensive public participation effort. It provides a fiscally constrained program for transportation improvements over the twenty-year life of the plan. In addition, the LRTP provides specific recommendations for additional transportation and related planning activities that should be carried out in order to achieve the Goals and Objectives.

The Ithaca Tompkins County Transportation Council updates the LRTP every five years. The current version, the 2035 LRTP, is undergoing an update and will become the 2040 LRTP. Information on the update process will be posted here and on our new ITCTC Facebook page.

Help us develop a common vision for the future of transportation in Tompkins County. The challenges are many, but so are the opportunities. Transportation is a key component in any effort to achieve a future addressing energy, environmental, economic and social justice issues in our community. Attend our public meetings or send your written comments/concerns to the ITCTC via mail or email:
