Health Department Seeks Information About A Dog To Rule Out Rabies Infection

 
(ITHACA, N.Y., October 14, 2014) — The Tompkins County Health Department must locate a dog that bit a boy riding a bike in front of Gimme! Coffee on Cayuga Street in Ithaca. The bite occurred Monday, October 13, at approximately 5:20 p.m.

The dog was of medium size with brown fur, and resembled a boxer/pit bull mix. The dog was being walked on a leash by a man and woman.

Anyone with information regarding this dog is urged to call the Tompkins County Environmental Health Division at (607) 274-6688.
