Public invited to celebration of smoke-free outdoor areas

 
August 20, 2010 – (Ithaca, N.Y.) As of August 1st, a new city ordinance went into effect making many outdoor areas in the city of Ithaca smoke-free. 

In celebration of the new ordinance, Tobacco Free Tompkins, a program of the Tompkins County Health Department will be hosting a celebration on Thursday, August 26th at 5:00 p.m. The event will take place under the Bernie Milton Pavilion before the Sim Redmond Band comes on to play in the last of the M&T Bank Downtown Summer Concert Series.

This event is free and open to the public.
