More Flu Clinics Scheduled
(November 7, 2008) – The Tompkins County Health Department
will hold two more flu clinics this month for anyone 19 years
of age and above. Appointments are suggested; walk-ins are welcome.
Friday, November 14 at the Shops at Ithaca Mall in a store
front across from Regal Cinemas – 2:00 to 5:00 pm
Tuesday, November 18 at the Health Department, 401 Harris B
Dates Drive – 4:00 to 6:00 pm
Children and their caregivers may obtain a flu shot at the
health department by calling for an appointment.
To make an appointment, call the Flu Hotline at 274-6609 Monday
through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
and 3:30 p.m. The cost of a flu shot is $35.00. The Health Department
will bill Medicare Part B. Receipts will be provided to individuals
for reimbursement from their health insurance companies. And
no one will be refused a flu shot due to an inability to pay
for one.
